Today I worked on my GCN training. I am on the last few required ones. I did not finish them so I will complete them on my weekend.
Also, this morning, I listened to Mr. Wright’s zoom meeting about how to do the daily logs.
As for the other half of my day, I began doing Cubic Worlds. So far I’ve watched The first three videos and have been listening to them. I’ve looked through my preferences and touched upon the asset library. It seems really interesting and I look forward to doing the Cubic Worlds course.

Today I watched some of the cubic worlds videos in the class drive, and I followed one of the videos to create the shader used in cubic worlds. There were a couple of things that ended up being a little different, but I think that so far, it’s turning out nicely. It involves several nodes, but it doesn’t seem like something over my head.
I’ve learned the shortcut to hide the parts of the node that I’m not using (crtl+h), and other shortcuts for features (making a box around certain nodes is one that I picked up). I’ve also found that putting a node in the middle of the line between two other nodes will cause the other nodes to disconnect and reconnect with the one in the middle.
The three images with the node and the lines show this. I put it over the already existing line, hover over the line with the node, and then it will automatically connect. I thought this was cool for some reason.

Yesterday I was mistaken about what video I was on. I was actually on 3 but I thought I was on 4. I’ve completed 3 and for today, though.
3: Setting up the base scene
4: setting up the camera.
Not very much, but there were a couple of places where I messed something up and had to backtrack. I think I’ve sorted all of those out, though.

I found an error in the way part of the tent looks. I am fixing it.
I have the tent pegs set up, the bedroll inside, and I’m fixing and fine-tuning (is that the correct word?) everything. Earlier today I went to my Financial Literacy pull out. When I got back, I listened to what Mr. Wright was saying and pulled up the meeting on the computer. Then it was break time and when I got back from break I put in some work on the tent in video 9 of scene creation for cubic worlds.

Today I finished my tweaks to my tent and I’m now working on building the robot for the scene. the basic parts are (mostly) done. I’m setting up the pose and tomorrow I’ll have to add the sword.

I am working on making the head for the robot now. I didn’t quite finish it. It looks a little bit like a trashcan, honestly. I still need to add the “mouth element” and finish it up. The image where the head is still a plain cube is where I finished posing and added the sword. I’ll have to repose the new head once it’s done.
